Research interests

Dr. Ardasheva’s research focuses on contributions of individual differences to second language development and on the interplay between second language and academic development. Her interests include quantitative approaches to language-minority education programs, effective instructional techniques for accelerating language and literacy development, content-based models to support language-minority education.

Teaching interests

Dr. Ardasheva teaches the following undergraduate and graduate courses related to English as a second language and bilingual education: Introduction to English as a Second Language, Methods and Materials for Bilingual/ELL Education, Linguistics for Teachers, Communicating in Diverse Classrooms.
