Biography

Amber is a Teaching Assistant Professor for the Kinesiology Program. She strives to foster academic excellence and evidence-based practices in human movement, fitness, and health. It is her goal to create a welcoming and engaging learning environment that enables students to apply concepts learned to real-life situations. She is driven by a commitment to lifelong learning and collaboration to improve student outcomes.

In addition to teaching classes, she manages the KIN_ACTV Program. This program offers a wide range of activity classes that are accessible to students of all backgrounds and ability levels. She serves the Kinesiology Program, the College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences, Washinton State University, and the greater Pullman community through her participation on a variety of committees. Her professional service includes participation in kinesiology related organizations at the regional and/or national level.

Amber has professional experience as an exercise physiologist and has worked in cardiac rehabilitation, elder care, and higher education. Her and her husband live in rural Idaho and enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing.
